TimberTech AZEK Decking & Railing: A surprise anniversary gift

Recently, when a customer came in for decking materials, he discussed his rather unique plan for a new deck. We asked if we could tell his story and share pictures of the deck. This is what happened:

Wouldn't it be nice to give your spouse something that they could use for decades? Chad seemed to think so.

Using materials from Suburban, Chad from Cedar Rapids decided to surprise his wife with a new composite deck for their 6th wedding anniversary! Their new deck was built by Bordignon Home Repair out of Robins—and it turned out great! Chad wanted the deck to last for years to come. And since composite requires a fraction of the maintenance that natural wood does, they’ll have more time to enjoy their new outdoor living space together—smart move, Chad.

Chad was able to pull off the surprise with the help of our team. “Carrie at Suburban worked with me and my contractor, Greg, to source the decking and railing materials we needed in the colors we wanted. The whole process was smooth and we love how it turned out!”

MATERIALS:
  • Composite decking from the TimberTech AZEK Legacy Collection in Tigerwood.
  • The frame of the deck and stairs, as well as the drink rail are also from the Legacy Collection, but in Mocha.
  • The railings are TimberTech AZEK Classic Composite Series railing in new Matte White finish with black, rounded aluminum balusters.

At Suburban we work with contractors as well as residential customers. So if you know the builder or contractor you want to work with, you can just mention us and we can work directly with them to get you quality materials that you'll love! Give our team a call or stop by and we can help you find the perfect materials for your new deck—even if you don't have an anniversary coming up.
